Capturing performance trends over time is the single most important function of any decision support application. Yet trends are often lost or hard to recover from the transactional systems such as Application Development, Service Desk and Project Management applications. Mirror42 captures and stores trends of your IT metrics and KPIs in the Mirror42 database, allowing businesses to compare performance across periods and evaluate relative improvements of IT activities allowing executives to base decisions on facts.

Using Mirror42 Live, Mirror42 Server can be extended to not only capture trends overtime but also provide end-users with a real-time view of current IT activities. Live Dashboards are ideal for operational managers who needs to keep a close eye on business activities to drive performance in real-time.
Collaboration
Mirror42 Collaboration drives your performance improvement programs. Fueled with performance information, managers can be notified if performance drops, identify issues, implement corrective actions, track related documents, request explanations and set approval cycles for controlled information distribution.
Data Collection
Mirror42 has developed a unique access layer for collecting information from external data sources. Mirror42 allows customers to build meta layers for system integration. Using this technique Mirror42 generates the interfaces and SQL statements required for data collection. Traditionally organizations had to build and maintain hundreds or thousands of SQL statements related to ETL techniques. With Mirror42 you only have to build and maintain 1 meta layer.
Meta Layers for commonly used IT Service Management and Project Portfolio Management applications by Hewlett-Packard, Computer Associates, BMC Remedy and IBM Tivoli are available to speed up the deployment.
The meta layers have an additional benefit, it structures the collected data to Mirror42 standards and allows Mirror42 to work with a fixed data warehouse structure, avoid the need for custom data warehouse design at each implementation. This not only saves time in deployment but also makes it easy to make the collected data available to third party report writers or data warehouse initiatives.
