Performance management is about communicating and sharing information. The Internet and Software as a Service provide new opportunities for performance management professionals.

Company Name
Our company name was been inspired by a passage from the book, “The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy” by Douglas Adams. In this book, Douglas Adams lets a computer answer the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything. The question = Why? Deep Thought, the second greatest computer in the Universe of Time and Space, comes up with the very simple and unexpected answer of “42″.
Company History
Mirror42 started in 2004 as a company focused on IT Performance Management. After the launch of KPI Library in 2007, Mirror42 starts representing a “new” way of Performance Management, based on information sharing, community wisdom and affordable software as a service solutions. Below a brief company history.
| 2004 | Mirror42 was founded by Karel van der Poel, Pieter Goris, Erik Hoffmann and Arjen Pront. |
| 2005 | Mirror42 signs up first customers. |
| 2006 | Mirror42 grows with customers in 16 countries. Lawrence Pit joins Mirror42. |
| 2007 - Sep | Mirror42 Launches KPI Library |
| 2007 - Dec | Mirror42 raises capital from Newion Investments and Solid Ventures |

| 2009 | KPI Library Q&A, Benchmarks, Groups, Expert Blogs released |
| 2009 - May | 100.000 KPI Library members. |
| 2009 - Dec | Mirror42 launches KPI Benchmark, KPI Dashboard and KPI Project: SaaS solutions for performance management. |
| 2010 - March | Mirror42 launches KPI Library Affiliate program |
| 2010 - May | Mirror42 welcomes 500 customers on its SaaS platform and over 175.000 KPI Library members. |
